Role: Creative Director & Motion Lead
In the luxury automotive space, motion is often mistaken for speed. But for Lexus, motion is a study in precision, weight, and the "Omotenashi" of the frame.
My creative direction for this campaign centered on what I call "The Weighted Transition." Just as a Lexus door closes with a specific, engineered thud, or the steering responds with a calculated resistance, the motion design had to feel tactile and deliberate.
The Creative Strategy:
The Architecture of the Pause: I focused on the micro-moments of stillness before a reveal. By manipulating the easing curves to mirror the car’s own suspension and aerodynamics, we made the digital assets feel physically "present" rather than just animated.
Closing the Sophistication Gap: Premium audiences don't just see motion; they feel the quality of the render. We used high-fidelity lighting and "physics-first" motion paths to ensure the visual narrative felt like an extension of the car’s DNA—bridging the gap between a high-speed TV spot and the quiet luxury of the driving experience.
Global Stewardship: Beyond the craft, I led the pipeline that ensured this level of "kinetic luxury" remained consistent across 50+ European markets, maintaining brand soul while adapting for the high-velocity requirements of social and digital OOH.
The Result: A campaign where the motion doesn't just "play"—it performs.
